Macotakara, a Japanese news blog, believes that Apple plans to hold a news event towards the end of February to announce the iPad 2. They go on to say the hardware will ship in the following month, March. As MacRumors points out, at present, there’s no reason to believe or disbelieve the report. All in all, the time scale seems reasonable and it’s no secret that Apple is working on a next generation tablet. If Macotakara’s claims are accurate, it seems that iPad 2 is just around the corner!
