Skyfire for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch Pulled down FromApp Store.

The Skyfire App for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch was released this morning in the App Store only to be removed from the App Store hours latter. Skyfire converts converts Flash content to HTML5 before delivering it to iOS devices. Initially, some suspected foul play from Apple.
However, this pull down has nothing to do with Apple. A post in Skyfire's blog points out that due to it's popularity, Skyfire's servers were not able to cope with the bandwidth requirements that are necessary to convert the Flash content to HTML5. According to their blog Skyfire is temporarily sold out! The app is so popular such that within five hours after it's realease it had become the top grossing app on the iPhone app store!

Apple Approves BitTorrent App for iPhone and iPod touch!

Apple's app Store has finally approved IS Drive, its first BitTorrent based managing app. The app, was previously known as Jack Torrents and was available via Cydia for jailbroken iOS devices. IS Drive allows users of ImageShack’s torrent service to manage their torrents from an iOS device. Currently, ImageShack is currently a premium service. What makes the approval of IS Drive noteworthy is that in the past Apple simply refused to allow all BitTorrent based apps because, according to Apple, this category of applications are often used for the purpose of infringing third party rights.

This app allows you to check and manage the downloads in your ImageShack Drive account. For downloaded videos, you can even view thumbnails (if ImageShack is able to provide them).

Apple has Already Approved The Google Voice Application- It Has Just hit the App Store

The official Google Voice application will in the next few week be available to the iPhone via the App Store. Even though the application has been approved, Google just needs to revamp the application to work with the iPhone 4 and iOS’s multitasking capabilities. The approval the official Google Voice application has taken quite a long and winding road. It was only last July, that Apple Google Voice application. This lead to a FCC inquiry into the matter. Apple claimed that the application “duplicated existing functionality”, a line of thought that did not convince anyone as Apple subsequently accepted similar apps. For well over a year, there were no other developments and the odds of Google Voice ever making its way to the iPhone, at least as a native application, seemed bleak.
